Only in the Bay Area: This San Francisco Nanny Job Pays $100K a Year

A six-figure role… for three separate nannies

Silicon Valley has long had more than its fair share of lore around ridiculous job postings, so much so that they’ve become normal. But every once in a while, one listing manages to break through the fray and surprise even the most acclimated San Franciscan.

Case in point: A recent listing for a San Francisco nanny on Indeed piqued our brows when we saw the salary of how much a yet-hired nanny would be taking home: about $100,000–$120,000 gross annual income. Although the job is for only one position, the family behind the posting has employed two other nannies (unclear on how much they’re getting paid) to make sure all hours of the day are covered.

Don’t get us wrong, people who watch and teach children for a living deserve that much money (hello, teachers), but the fact that they are spending upwards of $300,000 on private childcare blew our minds.

And it gets more interesting.
