San Francisco Just Released Its Newest Action Plan Against the Climate Crisis

The 2021 strategy will help carry SF into a carbon-neutral future by 2040

San Francisco is regarded as the most environmentally-friendly city of its size anywhere in the country. But even SF — a metropolitan of over 880,000 people, 87% of who fully believe that humans have played a part in global warming and other environmental catastrophes — could do better, especially around more efficient public transportation.

That’s where the San Francisco Department of the Environment’s recently released version of its Climate Action Plan comes into play: to pave the way for the city to survive rising sea levels and warmer temperatures, both of which are inevitable at this point.
