Don’t Forget That Golden Gate Park Still Has an LED Forest on Display

‘Entwined’ will be rooted in Peacock Meadow until February 1

The Avatar-like landscape that descended onto Golden Gate Park last fall has again graced the greenspace. Until February 1, Peacock Meadow will transform into an Avatar-like forest of changing LEDs and abstract shapes.

It’s perhaps even more awe-inspired this time around with even more large clusters of LEDs that resemble forest foliage and some of the bugs worked out that occasionally caused the exhibit to unintentionally strobe.

In October, the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department and the San Francisco Parks Alliance announced that Entwined — the now-famous light installation by Bay Area artist Charles Gadeken — would again…
